Who we are

The first annual Shenandoah Valley Family Bike Festival to be held on August 31, 2024, from 10:00am.- 6:00pm., is a free festival at Warren County Fair Grounds outside Front Royal, Virginia. It will feature a charity motorcycle ride, music and speakers that bring hope and encouragement, various family activities, and a variety of food and craft vendors. Included will be community suicide prevention resource organizations, as well as church, bikers, and veteran resource booths uniting to bring hope and healing to our honored veteran community, creating a lasting ripple effect on the surrounding communities.

Two strong and respected communities, bikers and veterans, will be joining together alongside church and resource organizations to support suicide prevention and address challenges that both theirs and surrounding communities face, which are essential to our recovery as individuals, families, and communities. Our purpose is to bring awareness to the community about veteran suicide prevention and mental health awareness as well as providing an opportunity to donate to a nationwide charity organization ‘Mighty Oaks Foundation’ that offers successful free resources to active duty military, veterans, and their spouses as well as to first responders.

Each suicide takes away a member of our family; while they may have forgotten their value, we feel their absence. Statistics show that more than 22 veterans, who have lived lives of sacrifice and service for our freedoms, commit suicide daily without being able to connect with those who can come alongside them and offer the love, respect, and beneficial resources that they deserve. Veterans give of themselves freely for their communities and each of us by following the spirit of true sacrificial love ~ no greater love than this, then to lay down one’s life for a friend.

The festival allows us the opportunity to mentor, comfort, bring the good news of Jesus Christ, offer healing to the invisible wounds created by honorable service for our country, and restore unity to veterans, their families, and the surrounding communities.
In the spirit of brotherhood that motorcycle clubs and veterans’ groups share, we are uniting to support our brothers and sisters fighting the darkness as well as anyone who has lost a loved one to suicide.

John 3:16- For God so loved…that He gave.
